Online Renewal permit to carry course

renew your permit to carry at your convenience from your home, office or where ever you'd like!

Upon completion of the online renewal course, you can come into our store during normal business hours to do you Live-Fire Exercise and complete your Permit to Carry Course. Once this is complete, you will then be able to turn in your application to your county sheriff. Follow the link to the right to start your Online Carry Course.

Gun Rental with Ammo for class- $30.00

When can I do my live fire?
- You can come in and complete the live fire exercise anytime during our business hours.
I do not own a handgun. Do you provide one?
- We do have rentals available. Ammo for all rentals must be purchased at Total Defense for liability reasons.
What do I need to bring with me to the live fire exercise?
- Your ID, your online course certificate of completion either digitally or printed, your firearm and 30 rounds of brass cased ammo.
How long is the online class?
- Every individual is different. The online course is reading and quizzes after each section. You may log in and out as many times as needed to complete the course.
How long do I have to complete the live fire exercise?
- You have 1 year from the date of completion to complete the live fire exercise.
How many states does it cover?
- 28 in Total - We also offer Florida Certification that brings it up to 35 in total.
I have never had my Permit, Can I take this class?
- This class is structured for renewing your permit. Although it covers everything required for first time permit holders, we as a company have a policy were first time permit holders must take our in-person class.
